I'm with you John. This is why "likes" are not really that useful. Traffic that doesn't convert doesn't help pay the bills.

I totally agree with what you say - my wife was telling me only the other night about how many likes she had - but I just looked at how much fabric we have sold and it's pitiful. People are coming to our site but not really buying.

It is especially rewarding to see you continuing to practice what you preach in a simple and unequivocal way. Thanks for your willingness to spend your time in the lab testing what really works and then freely sharing the results with the rest of us.

Spinning has a temptng lure associated with it. Perhaps a form of mildly spun articles if there is such a term would be a better alternative.... and then proof read the newly spun article before submission. I'll write write a few articles on this matter....

I agree Garland.
There is NO Substitute for fresh material.
Any thing worth doing is worth doing right.
We are seeing a shift from "quantity" to Quality in SEO

I have to agree with you that Article Spinnning is spam and the spun articles are of a lower quality. While trying to use a couple I also found them complicated. One should rewrite the article in their own words from scratch, and use a seo link building system.

Hello Garland,

Great article and a topic that is very popular among internet marketers. Everything simply boils down to whether or not you care about the quality of your articles. There are many people who are very active internet marketers and care more about the quality of their work, versus the quantity that they can produce. But, if time and effort is spent on the spinning process, a reasonable article can be created.

However, the biggest problem that exists with many people who use article spinners is not devoting time and attention to what they are doing. This results in having a good majority of low quality or often, worthless spun articles being submitted to directories. If you spend a little time and search around some of the article directories in various categories, you'll instantly notice articles that have been spun.

I've actually seen many articles in several directories where the author submitted their articles with the spin syntax included. What surprises me is why the article was approved?

Of course, that's one of the main reasons why Google is putting down the hammer.

So, does spinning articles reduce the value for readers? Of course it does, but that has nothing to do with the primary reason for spinning. Let's face it, the process of spinning content is to benefit the search engines, not the readers.
